星空 - Hoshizora - one of my quick weekend project

Hoshizora (星空, meaning "starry sky" in Japanese) began as one of those "I need this right now" weekend project moments as a developer. While working on a GitHub repository, I found myself wanting a simple, elegant way to showcase the stargazers and supporters — those people who take a moment to appreciate your work with a click of a star — like a nagareboshi (shooting star) in the starry sky.

There are plenty of GitHub badges and widgets out there, but sometimes you want something that feels more personal or do some exploration. That's when Hoshizora was born - a simple service that transforms your repository's stargazer data into beautiful generated SVG cards.

2025年10月10日 — What started as a quick weekend project to scratch my own itch has grown into something I'm genuinely excited about. The name "Hoshizora" felt perfect because each stargazer and sponsor is like a star in the vast sky of open source.

Built with modern tools like Hono and deployed on Cloudflare Workers, Hoshizora proves that sometimes the best solutions are the simple ones. No complex setup, no database to maintain, no dedicated server (even if i had one) - just simple API.

I think I'm gonna turn the design into something else too, like a theme for my blog or portfolio. I love the idea of a starry sky as a backdrop and the cooling colors just feel so calming and the Japanese aesthetic is something I really like. 💚
